Job summary

Sigma Defense Systems LLC seeks an ATGPAC BMD Ashore SME to join our team in San Diego, CA. The role requires extensive Surface Navy experience, BMD operations expertise, and the ability to brief senior leadership.

A Secret or higher clearance is preferred, with sponsorship possible for the right candidate. The position includes responsibilities spanning training, coordination at weekly updates, and development of training improvements for Pacific Fleet ships.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of Surface Navy experience with technical management
• 5+ years in tactical warfare planning and execution
• 5+ years of Higher HQ level interactions with strike groups or units
• BMD Watch Officer/Tactical Action Officer qualification
• 5+ years training/testing ships in BMD operations
• Experience briefing senior flag-level audiences
• 5+ years training Surface Fleet personnel in BMD operations
• Experience leading workshops to identify process improvements in BMD
• Experience tracking certification/training schedules for Naval Surface Forces
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Responsibilities

• Provide technical training and certification recommendations for BMD capabilities.
• Train watch standers for Military BMD teams.
• Participate in ATGPAC briefings and staff stand-ups.
• Review and feedback on Basic Phase Training Plans and reports.
• Create weekly briefs to inform ATGPAC on BMD training issues.
• Prepare End of Mission Reports and provide feedback on readiness trends.
• Draft BMD messages and standing orders as needed.
• Review SFTRM and propose improvements to training procedures.
• Review BMD Ashore SOPs and recommend changes.
