Job summary

American Bin and Conveyor in Burlington, WI is seeking skilled Steel Fabrication Fitter-Welders to join our hands-on manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, lay out, fit, and weld structural components into finished assemblies for conveyors and bulk material handling equipment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years welding, 2+ years fitting, and proficiency with MIG or Flux Core. You must reliably measure and document work, maintain safety standards, and pass background, drug screen, and physical.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years welding experience.
• 2 years fitting experience preferred.
• Ability to read and work directly from fabrication drawings.
• MIG and Flux Core experience a plus.
• Comfortable using measuring tools (tape, calipers, rulers).
• Strong basic math and dimensional skills.
• Commitment to safe, accurate, quality work.
• Able to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Measure, lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel components.
• Weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Follow WPS instructions.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and fit-up.
• Grind, clean, and finish fabricated components as required.
• Inspect work for dimensional accuracy and weld quality.
• Safely operate fabrication equipment and material-handling tools.
• Work with the fabrication team to keep jobs moving.
• Follow company safety and quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
