Job summary

Kj's Market in the Carolinas is seeking a versatile kitchen team member to produce all assigned menu items efficiently and consistently, following the specifications, recipes, and techniques of Kj's and the Bluebird Kitchen.

You will contribute to a fast-paced, team-based operation focused on quality and guest satisfaction, setting up and stocking stations, preparing meats, seafood, vegetables, and sauces, and ensuring items meet recipe standards in a safe, clean workspace.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality and ability to engage guests.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced team.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food safety.
• Able to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, sauces).
• Prepare a variety of foods using knives, mixers, blenders, processors, scales, and bags.
• Process prepared foods for service using standard equipment.
• Ensure items are prepared according to recipes and Bluebird Kitchen standards.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and storage areas.
• Stock inventory and ensure quality and timeliness of products.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards across the department.
• Provide guest service aligned with company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

1. 1. Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
2. 2. Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
3. 3. Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, dairy, and other food items using knives, electric mixers,immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags.
4. 4. Processes prepared foods for service using standard kitchen equipment.
5. 5. Ensure each item is prepared according to the recipe specifications, documentation, and Bluebird Kitchen Manager.
6. 6. Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area, including tables, shelves, cooking equipment, prep equipment, and storageequipment during and after service.
7. 7. Stock inventory appropriately and according to established standards and systems.
8. 8. Ensure the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of products served.
9. 9. Maintain safety and sanitation throughout the department according to Floco Foods standards.
10. 10. Provide guest service consistent with our established Purpose, Priorities, and Service Standards.
11. 11. Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Floco Foods standards.
12. 12. Perform other related duties as assigned by the management staff.
