Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with blown film experience to join our team in Longview, TX. This on-site, permanent role offers a competitive hourly rate and emphasizes routine and preventive maintenance to keep blown film machinery running smoothly.

You will diagnose faults, assist in installation of new equipment, and work with production to minimize downtime while adhering to health and safety standards. A technical diploma is preferred and ongoing learning is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry, with specific experience in blown film processes.
• Proven expertise in preventive maintenance and the ability to diagnose and repair faults in blown film machinery.
• A strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the manufacturing industry.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance to junior staff members.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine and preventive maintenance on blown film machinery to ensure optimal operation.
• Diagnosing and repairing faults in blown film machinery and related equipment.
• Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Conducting regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they escape.
• Collaborating with the production team to minimize downtime and maintain high levels of productivity.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe and clean workspace.
• Documenting all maintenance and repair work for future reference.
• Providing technical support and guidance to junior staff members.
• Staying updated with the latest developments in blown film technology and incorporating them into our maintenance processes.
