BISSELL, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Plastics Technician II to operate blow-molding equipment and support resin preparation. You will monitor, adjust, and maintain production quality while training Plastics Technician I teammates.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Second shift includes a premium pay differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, machine operation, plastics, molding, or packaging.
• Mechanical aptitude with interest in learning equipment and processes.

Responsabilités

• Set up, start, operate, monitor, and shut down blow-molding equipment.
• Prepare and mix resin for bottle manufacturing.
• Monitor production to prevent safety, quality, or production issues.
• Inspect bottles and perform quality checks to specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment/process issues and adjust as needed to maintain output.
• Perform minor mold and equipment changeovers; assist with complex ones.
• Carry out basic preventative maintenance; report issues needing higher support.
• Complete production, quality, and equipment documentation.
• Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement to reduce downtime.
• Train Plastics Technician I on operation, safety, quality, and SOPs.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
