Job summary

Altium Packaging is seeking an experienced Machine Operator in Sherman, TX. You will operate blow mold, grinder and trimmer machines and the conveyor system. The role includes troubleshooting process issues and performing minor maintenance to keep production lines running smoothly.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 2+ years of machine operator experience, with preference for blow mold operation. Overtime may be required in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as a machine operator.
• 2+ years’ blow mold operation preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (speed).
• Operate blow-mold machines (including wheels, reciprocator or shuttle).
• Perform audits, weights and quality checks.
• Check output to spot machine-related mistakes or flaws.
• Enter data into SPC database for quality control measures.
• Troubleshoot, preventative maintenance, minor repair on blow mold & support equipment.
• Maintain activity logs.
