Job summary

Altium Packaging in Sherman, TX is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to run blow mold, grinder and trimmer machines and to assist with the conveyor system.

You will troubleshoot process issues, perform routine maintenance, read blueprints and manuals, record production data, and uphold safety and quality standards on the line, cooperating closely with co workers to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience as a machine operator.
• 2+ years' blow mold machine operation preferred.
• Reading blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
• Machine maintenance experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Physical stamina and strength/able to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
• Operate blow-mold machines and related equipment.
• Perform audits, weights and quality checks.
• Check output for machine-related issues or defects.
• Maintain production records and logs.
• Enter data into SPC database for quality control.
• Troubleshoot, maintenance, minor repairs on blow mold and equipment.
• Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines.
• Maintain activity logs.
