Job summary

OneBlood in Orlando is seeking a Manufacturing and Distribution Technician to manage whole blood and blood components in accordance with OneBlood SOPs. This is a full-time role with a flexible schedule; shifts run 5:00am–5:00pm, including weekends.

Training occurs Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm for 3–4 weeks. Position may include shift differential of $1.50–$4.50 per hour depending on hours worked.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior laboratory, blood-bank manufacturing or logistics experience preferred.
• Ability to organize work and follow complex instructions.

Responsibilities

• Manufactures, stores and distributes blood and blood products.
• Performs data entry for production, labeling, storage and shipping with accurate records.
• Operates, maintains and checks equipment for quality control.
• Ensures proper labeling and release of products for distribution.
• Quarantines and dispositions unacceptable products and samples.
• Maintains adequate inventory of supplies.
• Prepares and submits quality control samples for testing.
