Job summary

OneBlood in North Carolina is seeking a dedicated technician to support manufacturing and distribution of whole blood and components, following SOPs. You will work four 10-hour night shifts (6:00pm–7:00am) with training 8:00am–8:00pm for 3–4 weeks, and may receive shift differential of $1.50–$4.50 per hour.

This full-time role requires basic computer skills and careful recordkeeping. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior laboratory, bloodbank manufacturing or logistics experience preferred.
• Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Manufactures, stores and distributes blood and blood products.

Overview

Performs tasks related to the manufacturing and distribution (as needed) duties for the management of whole blood and blood components, in compliance with OneBlood standard operating procedures.

Position Schedule: Candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule with a 10 hour shift scheduled between the hours of 6:00pm - 7:00am any day of the week including weekends. This is a full-time position and candidates are generally scheduled four (4) 10-hour shifts per week.

Training Schedule: Candidate must be available to work a Flex schedule for a period of 3-4 weeks, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 8:00 pm for training.

(Based upon when hours are worked positions may include a shift and weekend differential of $1.50 - $4.50 per hour.)

Responsibilities

• Manufactures, stores and distributes blood and blood products

• Performs the quarantine and disposition of unacceptable products and/or samples
• Ensures adequate inventory of required supplies
• Prepares and submits quality control samples for testing.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
