Job summary

Vitalant in Albuquerque is hiring a Hospital Distribution Technician dedicated to supporting our life-saving mission. You will receive, prepare, and ship blood products in a fast-paced environment, using a company vehicle for part of your shifts, with a focus on order accuracy and safe transport.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid in-state driver’s license, and at least six months of customer service experience; healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid in-state driver’s license.
• Six months of customer service experience required.
• Prior healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Able to lift 40lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
• Professionally and safely deliver products to Vitalant customers in company vehicle.
• Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
• Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
• Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.
