Job summary

Vitalant is hiring a Hospital Distribution Technician in Rosemont, IL. You will manage the inventory of blood and blood products and coordinate packing and shipment to local hospitals and patients. Training and growth are provided in a purpose-driven nonprofit setting.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid in-state driver’s license, and at least six months of customer service experience. You must be able to lift 40 lbs and read/write English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, ensuring order accuracy.
• Deliver products to hospital customers in a company vehicle in a safe, professional manner.
• Communicate with customers about order fulfillment, turnaround times, and product availability.
• Maintain accurate hospital service records and process fees.
