Job summary

Vitalant in Rosemont, IL is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician to manage inventory and shipments of blood and blood products to local hospitals and patients. You will receive, prepare, and ship orders, conduct product inspections, and ensure accuracy of each shipment.

You will professionally deliver products in a company vehicle, communicate fulfillment timelines with customers, and maintain hospital service records while monitoring storage and equipment.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience required.
• Ability to read and write English.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid in-state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, ensuring order accuracy.
• Deliver products to Vitalant customers in a company vehicle.
• Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
• Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
• Monitor storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.
