Job summary

The Blood Connection, Incorporated in Morrisville, NC is hiring a Component Manufacturing Technician to ensure safe production of blood components and compliant distribution according to FDA guidelines. This role involves batch manufacturing from whole blood and meticulous documentation.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow SOPs in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to follow SOP in a heavily FDA regulated environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workers.
• Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture blood components from units of whole blood in a safe and timely manner.
• Perform modification procedures of blood products as needed.
• Perform computer entry of all manufactured or modified blood products.
• Perform daily, monthly, quarterly control on all equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Perform product labeling.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform on call duties as assigned.
• Produce accurate, precise, and legible documentation at each level of the manufacturing and distribution process.
• Perform duties with minimal errors.
• Assist with supervising, coaching, and training of assigned staff.
