Job summary

The American Red Cross is hiring a Blood Component Manufacturing Technician to produce blood components, process units, and maintain strict documentation. You will work on labeling, storage, and sample management while ensuring quality and safety standards.

Compensation is competitive, with a typical schedule that includes weekends. Training is provided full-time for about four weeks, with a shift pattern starting early in the morning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; science degree is a plus.
• Comfort with computers and learning new software rapidly.
• Ability to operate various laboratory equipment with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Meet production goals while keeping precise documentation.
• Manage inventory throughout manufacturing and distribution.
• Enter data and operate component production and labeling systems.
• Analyze information from other departments to meet deadlines.
• Perform complex tasks like pooled product manufacturing and pathogen reduction.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors.
