Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a dedicated full-time Operations Support professional to strengthen the day-to-day blood collections operation. You will help acquire, distribute, and maintain supplies and equipment used in blood collection, and ensure smooth delivery to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include inventory control, training staff, and coordinating with teams to meet donor needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education & related experience required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Ability to carry moderate weight and lift up to 75 pounds; operate hand and power tools; work with chemicals and solvents.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage blood collection equipment and supplies including boxes, labels and canteen supplies.
• Take inventory and order supplies from the warehouse, maintaining collections’ supply and equipment area.
• Provide training and support to other staff as directed.
• Interact in a positive, proactive, and customer-focused manner with both internal and external customers.
• May drive blood collection vehicles to load and unload required supplies and equipment where applicable and as needed.
