New York Blood Center is seeking a Logistics/Dispatcher Lead in the New York area to oversee the delivery and pick-up of blood products. You will direct workflow, monitor schedules, dispatch drivers, and coordinate with mobile teams to ensure on-time starts and successful drives.

Applicants should have three years of directing staff or dispatcher experience, knowledge of DOT hours of service, and basic Microsoft Office skills. This on-site role offers a competitive hourly wage.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• Three years of experience directing staff, office management, or dispatch.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations (hours of service), computerized/mobile communications systems, and Microsoft Office.

Mansioni

• Monitor schedules, vehicles, dispatch drivers, and direct pickups or deliveries.
• Coordinate drivers and operations to meet time parameters on all shipments and drives.
• Assist mobile drivers to ensure drive starts and breakdowns finish on time.
• Report vehicle issues and coordinate with shops and towing providers.
• Ensure blood drive vehicles are operational and depart on time.
• Maintain and review driver records and documents for accuracy.
• Ensure safety compliance and document incidents promptly.
• Communicate delays via email and dispatch base channels.
• Respond to customer service issues with internal departments to resolve them.
