Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Blood Collection Supervisor to lead our blood collection team, ensuring donors have an exceptional experience. You will supervise staff, emphasize service quality, and support a culture of respect for both staff and donors.

Eligible candidates may have prior healthcare or phlebotomy exposure, with a minimum of three years in supervisory roles, and a valid driver's license. The role supports a mission-driven, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR a combination of education and work experience (four to eight years of work experience) is required.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights and long hours.
• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise blood collection staff, including training and performance.
• Drive for results and to serve others with a high level of respect for customer service.
• Interact with donors to explain procedures and the value of donation.
• Create a friendly and engaging environment to encourage repeat donors.
