Job summary

The American Red Cross in Virginia Beach is seeking a Team Lead/Charge to support mobile blood drive operations. You will coach staff, conduct phlebotomy, and ensure blood collection meets regulatory standards in community settings.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided; prior phlebotomy or healthcare exposure is helpful. Schedule includes 4 x 10-hour shifts with variable hours, weekends, and holidays. Competitive benefits accompany this essential public service role.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Minimum 1 year leadership experience in environments with public interaction.
• Phlebotomy experience is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements including lifting and long hours may apply.
