Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Blood Collection Supervisor to lead our blood collection team with compassion and a focus on donor experience. You will supervise staff, train new team members, and ensure high-quality service across donors and communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR a combination of education and work experience in a related field.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication with patients, families and physicians.
• A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, long hours, and mobility requirements for mobile drives.
• Team-based work at mobile blood drives; basic computer skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise blood collection staff, including training and performance management.
• Drive for results while maintaining respect for donors and staff.
• Connect with donors, listen to their stories, and explain the value of donation.
• Foster a friendly, team-oriented environment to encourage donors to return.
