Job summary

American Red Cross in Toledo, Ohio, is seeking individuals to join our team as phlebotomists. No prior medical experience required as paid phlebotomy training is provided, and you will learn on the job while helping donors and supporting lifesaving blood collections.

You will transport and set up equipment at collection sites, create a welcoming environment for donors, and follow safety procedures to ensure high-quality blood products for hospitals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record required.
• Physical ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Connect with donors, explain the impact of their donation.
• Create a welcoming environment to encourage repeat donations.
• Maintain accuracy to meet goals and safety/regulatory requirements.
• Assist with setting up and tearing down equipment at donation sites
