Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a phlebotomy‑trained team member to support blood collection at mobile sites. You will transport and set up equipment, greet donors, and follow safety procedures to ensure high-quality, life‑saving donations.

Starting at $18.10/hour with paid training, you will join a mission‑driven team across communities, contributing to a vital humanitarian effort while advancing healthcare skills within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights and long irregular hours.
• Must work as part of a team to set up and tear down equipment for mobile drives.

Responsibilities

• Drive blood collection vehicles to transport supplies, equipment, blood products and staff to mobile sites.
• Engage with donors to explain the impact of their donation and provide a welcoming experience.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain a friendly environment for donors.
• Ensure collection meets goals and regulatory requirements; assist setup and teardown.
• Support safe transport and operation at donation sites.
