Job summary

The American Red Cross in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Blood Collection Staff – Customer Service to assist with the blood collection process, warmly welcoming donors and ensuring safety during mobile drives.

You will work with a team to transport and set up equipment at sites, follow all procedures, and help donors understand the impact of their donation. Training is provided; starting pay is $20.15 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights and long hours; schedule changes are required.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to personally connect with donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Ensure the blood collected meets regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setting up and tearing down equipment at donation sites.
