Job summary

American Red Cross in Hays, Kansas seeks a phlebotomist to support blood collection at various sites. You will greet donors, assist with the collection process, and ensure a comfortable, safe experience while following procedures.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided to grow your healthcare skills within a top humanitarian organization. You may drive and set up equipment, with a variable schedule that may include mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and strong verbal communication.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office are required.

Responsibilities

• Connect with donors, share how donations help lives and encourage return visits.
• Work with teammates to create a welcoming environment for volunteers.
• Maintain attention to detail to ensure blood collection meets safety standards.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup and teardown at sites; may require 60" height for vehicle operation.
