American Red Cross in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking individuals to join as part of a dynamic team supporting mobile blood drives. The role includes facilitating donor experiences, preparing equipment, and following safety protocols to ensure safe, lifesaving blood donations.

The position offers paid phlebotomy training and opportunities to grow healthcare skills within a nationally recognized humanitarian organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights and long, irregular hours; may require minimum height to operate vehicles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Take the time to personally connect with donors – listen to their stories and help them understand how impactful their donation is.
• Collaborate with your teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so our volunteer donors feel comfortable coming back again and again.
• Be detailed oriented all day, every day; ensure the blood you collect meets goals, regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and you will work with the team to setup and tear down equipment at the donation sites.
