Job summary

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a TH Clinical Laboratory Technologist for the Blood Bank in the Night Shift. The role involves performing routine and advanced testing, ensuring quality control, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and may have MT (ASCP) certification. Preferred experience includes WellSky Transfusion/Blood Center and automated Blood Bank systems.

Qualifications

• NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or eligible.
• MT (ASCP) Certification preferred or equivalent.
• Experience with WellSky Transfusion and/or WellSky Blood Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced Blood Bank testing per department protocols.
• Maintain quality control procedures and review final reports.
• Assist in teaching medical technology students.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory standards (FDA, NYSDOH, accreditation).
