Job summary

UP Health System- Marquette in Marquette, MI is seeking a Donor Technician-Blood Bank to perform phlebotomy on and offsite, maintain a safe work area, and handle donor data entry and filing. This full-time role, with varied shifts, supports daily blood product needs.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licenses: Valid driver license.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support- Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP).
  • Minimum Work Experience - 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Performs phlebotomy both on and offsite.
  • Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.
  • Performs clerical duties including answering phones, data entry, and filing related to donors.
  • Performs quality control and corrective preventative maintenance on equipment, instruments, and products.
  • Maintains supply inventory.
  • Tele‑recruits donors as needed to maintain adequate blood supplies for daily activities at the hospital.

What we're looking for:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. *Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.
  • Licenses: Valid driver license.
