Mass General Brigham is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I to join the North Shore Medical Center lab team. The role involves processing specimens, performing waived and non-waived tests, and reporting results under CLIA guidelines. Rotating weekends/holidays and onsite work are required.

Starting rate is $31.43/hour with a $10,000 sign-on bonus; position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant clinical laboratory science field and ASCP-BOC preferred. Lab experience is valued.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences required or Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology required or Bachelor's Degree Laboratory Sciences required.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
• Lab experience 1-2 years preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Perform routine and complex blood bank testing, including ABO/Rh typing, antibody screening and identification, compatibility testing, and other immunohematology.
• Maintain records that demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisor or director; correct actions taken when tests deviate from specs.
