Ingalls Memorial Hospital in the Chicagoland area is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor for the Blood Bank to lead staff, ensure quality, and support departmental goals.

You will train and supervise laboratory personnel, manage LIS/HIS workflows, and coordinate with pathologists to uphold accreditation standards and timely reporting.

This is a 100% onsite role requiring strong leadership, budget awareness, and a commitment to patient safety and compliance with CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, and CMS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a clinical laboratory setting.
• At least 1 year training/experience in high-complexity testing.
• B.S. in medical technology or related field (or equivalent).
• MT(ASCP) certification or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Train and supervise laboratory staff within Blood Bank.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, and other standards.
• Monitor budget, control inventory, and support cost containment.
• Collaborate with pathologists to support accreditation and method changes.
• Troubleshoot LIS/HIS issues and ensure timely reporting.
