Job summary
Southern Illinois Healthcare is seeking a Blood Bank Lead at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. The role leads daily testing workflows, mentors MLTs, and ensures accurate specimen processing from collection to reporting in all clinical laboratory departments.

Qualifications
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associate degree acceptable for grandfathered personnel.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine waived, moderately, and high complex testing.
- Collect, process, and receive specimens for analysis in all clinical lab departments.
- Maintain quality control and instrument maintenance; troubleshoot issues.
- Mentor junior MLTs and oversee daily testing workflows.
- Ensure accreditation and compliance documentation; participate in training.
