Job summary

Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center Blood Bank laboratory is hiring for a full-time position on the third shift (4x10). The role requires a Bachelor's degree or a related science degree and involves accessioning specimens, processing, labeling, and operating lab equipment in a fast-paced hospital setting in Charlotte, NC.

Benefits eligible with a 40-hour work week and a pay range of $22.90–$34.35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Degree in chemical, biological, or life sciences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately accessions and registers specimens for processing and testing.
• Maintains high quality and productivity as required by department.
• Follows designated procedures for labeling and processing; sort and deliver specimens to technical areas as assigned.
• Prepares solutions, reagents and supplies as assigned.
• Operates all necessary equipment in designated laboratory.
• Answers phone and paging system as needed.
• Follows College of American Pathologists (CAP) requirements.
