Placements24, in partnership with a crypto and blockchain innovator, is seeking a meticulous Blockchain QA Engineer to join their team in Paarl. This role blends on-site collaboration with remote flexibility, focusing on quality, reliability, and security of blockchain applications and smart contracts.

You will develop test plans, perform functional and security testing, document defects, and work with developers to ensure coverage.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2+ years in Quality Assurance, with at least 1 year focused on blockchain or smart contracts.
Experience with testing methodologies and tools.
Understanding of blockchain concepts and smart contract interactions.
Ability to write clear and concise test cases and bug reports.
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for blockchain applications and smart contracts.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through to resolution.
Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to understand feature requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
Test smart contract functionality, security, and gas efficiency.
Automate testing processes where feasible to improve efficiency and accuracy.
