The role emphasizes automating manual QA, designing quality gates in CI/CD, and collaborating with security engineers on regression checks. Strong coding skills in TS/JS or Python and experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years in QA engineering, SDET, or test automation with a shift toward automation.
• Strong programming ability in at least one of TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python — test code that others read.
• Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, pytest, or equivalent.
• Practical API testing experience, including contract, integration, and negative-path testing against REST or GraphQL services.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and ownership of pipeline configuration.
• Daily use of AI coding assistants and LLM tooling in workflow with clear vetting.
• Comfort with Git, containerized environments, and reading application code to understand testing scope.
• Excellent written communication in a distributed, asynchronous team.

Responsibilities

• Own the test strategy across internal platforms and client-facing products, from unit to end-to-end and regression suites.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites in code for UI, API, and data-layer areas.
• Leverage LLM-assisted tooling to accelerate test authoring and triage failures.
• Implement quality gates in CI/CD to keep builds stable and fast feedback cycles.
• Automate manual QA processes, including release checklists and test data generation.
• Reproduce and document defects with clear steps and expected vs. actual results.
• Collaborate with security engineers to fold security checks into pipelines.
• Run performance and reliability tests on services handling sensitive data.
• Define and report quality metrics and contribute to release readiness.
