Job summary

Danfoss Power Solutions in Freeport, IL is seeking a 3rd shift Block Cell Operator to operate and maintain NC and conventional machines for metallic and nonmetallic components. The Impact You'll Make

We have an immediate opening for a 3rd Shift Machine Operator to join our team in Freeport, IL. This position involves operating and maintaining setups for conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate and assemble both metallic and nonmetallic components by performing the following tasks. The wage range for this position is $20.95 - $22.50 per hour. There is a 3rd shift premium of 10%.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Efficiently sets up, operates, and dismantles unit assembly and sub-assembly workstations.

• Accurately fits and assembles parts into complete units, ensuring precise dimensions and proper alignment of assemblies.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma/(GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply logic and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The candidate must live in the United States without company sponsorship.
