Job summary

Tate & Lyle is seeking a Blending Operator for our Sycamore, IL plant. You will be responsible for the full production process from gathering raw materials to sifting, packing, and shipping finished products.

Role emphasizes adherence to GMP, food safety, and environmental standards, with duties spanning daily production records, safety participation, and process improvements in a team setting.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a 10-hour workday.
• Able to climb stairs repeatedly.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to operate a forklift within 180 days of employment.
• Able to manipulate bags weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Follow food safety, legal and quality requirements to ensure that products are fit for human consumption.
• Comply with EHS procedures and policies.
• Be responsible for own actions and safety.
• Carry out work in a manner that does not risk self, others or environment.
• Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis.
• Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished product packaging.
• Monitor output quality and discard or re-manufacture faulty products.
• Suggest improvements for safe, reliable, cost-effective operations.
