Job summary

Blount Fine Foods Corp. is seeking a first shift Food Preparation Operator to mix, blend, and cook raw ingredients from 4:45am start. You will process large kettle lines, monitor quality, and adhere to HACCP standards while learning multiple processing systems. A strong work ethic and basic math skills are expected.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or 3–6 months related experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; interpret bar graphs and chart recorders.
• HACCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primary processor of finished food grade products while operating large volume kettles and mixers.
• Product quality adherence: solids, verifying ingredients, instrument calibration, magnet inspections, chart recorder accuracy.
• Follow blending recipes and HACCP steps to ensure correct completion of all recipes to pre-determined standards.
• Ability to learn, operate and adjust multiple in-line pieces of processing equipment including kettles.
• Responsible for preventative maintenance, upkeep and follow-up on equipment maintenance; collaborate with Maintenance.
• Perform viscosity and sensory testing on batches produced.
• Work with QC and QA on all new and existing processes.
• Communicate effectively within department to ensure efficient processing.

Education
