Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in Endicott, NY is hiring a Blending Manager to lead a team operating blending tanks for PVC materials. You will ensure efficient blending, meet production targets, and uphold safety, quality, and process efficiency standards.

Responsibilities include supervising operators, maintaining equipment per SOPs, managing inventories, coordinating with departments, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical or vocational training in chemical engineering, plastics processing or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in PVC extrusion blending or a similar role within the plastics industry.
• Strong knowledge of PVC extrusion processes, blending equipment, and material properties.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards in the manufacturing industry.
• Leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Oversee blending operators to ensure smooth operation and target production.
• Maintain blending equipment per SOPs and coordinate with maintenance.
• Conduct monthly inventory of chemicals, ink, regrind, silos, and railcars.
• Coordinate with other departments for effective information flow.
• Enforce quality control procedures to meet PVC material specs.
• Prepare documents for external audits and respond to auditor questions.
• Develop blending schedules with production planners to meet orders.
• Promote safety and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Train and mentor blending operators to achieve required skills.
• Document production activities and generate performance reports.
