Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift team member to operate grinders and associated processing equipment in a fast-paced meat manufacturing environment.

The role includes loading ingredients, maintaining batch records, performing setup and teardown, and complying with safety, GMP and SQF standards. Willingness to work overtime and weekends is required.

Formación

• 3 months of work history with the same employer.
• Ability to complete all paperwork and SAP functions.
• Ability to scan or input into computer system all product, film, boxes, casings, clips, and ingredients for all daily product runs, including change overs.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Ability to follow formulations on the computer and accurately record and report food safety or product information.
• Ability to obtain tow motor certification.

Responsabilidades

• Add water, cures, seasoning, corn syrup, and other ingredients to meat blends for correct batching of materials.
• Keep determinable stock of meat in troughs and ensure throughput.
• Keep accurate records of batches used in proper sequence with identification according to company policy.
• Weigh and dispose of inedible and edible guts.
• Move up to 5,000 pounds of meat per day between tanks.
• Assemble and tear down all final grind equipment.
• Assemble, operate and tear down kuhl vat washer and verify cleanliness of each vat.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
• Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
• Perform any other work as assigned by management.

Job Description

Position Summary:

This position includes, but not limited to, the setup, tear down, and operating the grinder.

Responsibilities:

• Operate power lifts, hand mules, dumpers, augers, grinders, conveyors, mixers, and bone removal.
• Add water, cures, seasoning, corn syrup, and other ingredients to meat blends for correct batching of materials.
• Keep stuffers full of meat at all times.
• Keep accurate records of batches used in proper sequence with identification according to company policy.
• Weigh and dispose of inedible and edible guts.
• Moves up to 5,000 pounds of meat per day from tank to tank.
• Assemble and tear down all final grind equipment.
• Assemble, operate and tear down kuhl vat washer and verify/inspect that each vat is clean before covering with plastic.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
• Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
• Perform any other work as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions.
• Ability and willingness to scan or input into computer systemall productfilm, boxes, casings, clips, and ingredients for all daily product runs, including change overs.
• Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
• Ability and willingness to follow formulations on the computer and accurately record and report food safety or product information.
• Ability and willingness to obtain tow motor certification.

Physical Requirements:

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Must be willing and able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently.
• Must be willing and able to lift/lower/carry 20 pounds or greater with back and legs.
• Must be willing and able to move 5,000 pounds of meat per day
• The Team Member will work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment.
• The Team Member will flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
• The Team Member will stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
• The Team Member will work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.

Preferred Skills:

• Machine Operator experience preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
• RF Scanner experience preferred

Qualifications:

• 3 months of work history with the same employer
