Job summary

Blake Equipment, part of Headwater Companies, is hiring a delivery driver to service branches within a 100-500 mile radius. You will load, unload, and deliver equipment to customers, ensuring accuracy and safety. Strong customer service and adherence to DOT rules are essential.

You will operate company vehicles, maintain logs, and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements. The role offers competitive hourly pay, a quarterly bonus, and paid time off in the first year.

Qualifications

• Valid driver\'s license required; CDL-B preferred but not required.
• Must have and maintain an acceptable MVR.
• No record of DUI/DWI within the previous 5 years.
• Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
• Must consent to a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and/or trailers.
• Properly secure loads in accordance with state/federal regulation and safety practices.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly.
• Assist in other duties at the branch, including warehouse and yard inventory.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment to ensure proper working condition.
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Submit receipts and money received from deliveries.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations.
• Maintain company gas card, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance; ensure Driver License and Medical Certificate are current and on person while driving a company vehicle.
• Performs other related duties as needed.

Job Details

• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
• Maintains company gas card, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance; also, responsible for ensuring Driver License and Medical Certificate are current and on person at all times while driving a company vehicle
• Performs other related duties as needed
