Job summary

Blake Equipment Delivery Driver in Pascoag, RI is seeking a full-time driver to support delivery routes within a 100-500 mile radius. The role requires a valid driver’s license, MVR clearance, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with DOT physical and drug screening.

You’ll load and unload, verify loads, and maintain safety standards while providing excellent customer service. Compensation includes a quarterly safety bonus, merit increases, and generous time off starting in year one.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license; CDL-B preferred but not required.
• Maintain an acceptable MVR.
• No DUI/DWI within the previous 5 years.
• Must pass DOT physical and functional screen.
• Must consent to pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and/or trailers; secure loads per regulations.
• Assist in driving deliveries within 100–500 mile radius from the branch.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment.
• Verify contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Submit receipts and money from deliveries; follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Report delays or accidents to base or other vehicles; adapt to traffic/weather conditions.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license, CDL-B preferred but not required
• Must have and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• No record of citation or conviction of any DUI / DWI within the previous 5 years
• Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and functional screen
• Must consent to a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen

• Assist in other duties at the branch, including warehouse and yard inventory responsibilities
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
• Submit receipts and money received from deliveries
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to base or other vehicles
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
• Maintains company gas card, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance; also, responsible for ensuring Driver License and Medical Certificate are current and on person at all times while driving a company vehicle
• Performs other related duties as needed
