Job summary

Duininck Inc. seeks a seasonal, full-time blade operator to contribute to infrastructure projects across Texas. You will safely grade with a blade, read grade stakes, and coordinate with the crew for efficient execution.

Daily checks and maintenance ensure equipment operates correctly in varying weather and sites. The role offers competitive hourly pay with overtime based on experience, plus PTO, per diem where applicable, health plans, dental/vision, life and short-term disability coverage,

Qualifications

• Understand and follow safety regulations on construction sites.
• Demonstrate ability to coordinate with crew using hand signals.
• Able to read grade stakes and operate related measuring devices.
• Willingness to travel throughout Texas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operates blade to achieve the specified grading.
• Reads grade stakes and works with grade checker, laser, or GPS to maintain grade.
• Works closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that machine is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication.
• Reports to shop when equipment needs maintenance and repair.
• Keeps equipment clean and prepares equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.
• Maintains orderliness, cleanliness and safety at jobsite.
• Follows Supervisor’s instructions closely.

• Understand basics of blade mechanicals.
• Understand and adhere to all safety regulations.
• Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements.
• An unwavering focus on safety.
• Willingness to travel throughout Texas.

Work Environment | Physical Demands

• Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly work extended | overtime hours, outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions at all project locations.
