Job summary

PENN Entertainment, Inc. in Maryland Heights is hosting a Blackjack Dealer School event to train candidates for casino floor positions.

The program includes two weeks of Blackjack School, audition at the end of Week 2, and progression to Part-Time Dealer or a Dual (Dealer/Supervisor) role during the first 90 days. Shift times are Late Evening / Overnights, and candidates must be 21 or older, pass a basic math test, and be eligible for a gaming license.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ and eligible for a valid gaming license.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule – nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Learn at Dealer School and pass a basic math test.

Responsibilities

• Two weeks of Blackjack School training.
• Audition at end of Week 2 to qualify for casino floor placement.
• Begin dealing shifts as a Part-Time Dealer or Dual (Dealer/Supervisor) role with mentorship.

Dealer School Hiring Event Details

*the position average is based on a tip pool evenly distributed amongst each dealer each pay period.*

• Audition required at the end of Week 2 to qualify for casino floor placement

  • Deal 4 days/week
  • Supervise 1 day/week
  • Receive ongoing shadowing and mentorship as you transition into leadership

Shift: Late Evening / Overnights

As a Blackjack Dealer School Candidate, you will take part in a structured training program designed to teach you the skills needed to become a successful Table Games Dealer. During dealer school, you will:

• Learn the rules, procedures, and variations of Blackjack and other table games.
• Develop skills in handling cards, chips, and cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Understand game security and how to protect company assets while ensuring fair play.
• Practice delivering excellent guest service by engaging with players in a courteous and professional manner.
• Gain knowledge of company policies, departmental procedures, and state gaming regulations.

This program is designed to prepare you for success as a Table Games Dealer, providing hands‑on training, guidance, and support every step of the way.

Requirements

• You must be 21 or older and eligible for a valid gaming license.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule – nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.

• Excited to learn at Dealer School where you’ll be trained on table games, policies, and procedures.

• Comfortable with numbers and able to pass a basic math test during the interview.

• Strong communication skills – fluent in English, both spoken and written.

• A passion for great customer service and building positive guest experiences.

• High energy with a team-player mindset and the ability to handle challenges professionally.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate when handling chips, cash, and calculations.
