Penn Entertainment in York, PA is seeking candidates for Table Games Dealer School Student. You will learn dealing and conduct table game play while maintaining professionalism and integrity in Dealer School. This program does not require working on the gaming floor during training.

Hours are Tue–Fri 9:30 AM–2:30 PM, with attendance requirements and CPR training. Prior customer service experience is helpful but not required, and you must obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming license prior to graduation.

SUMMARY

The Table Games Dealer School Student is responsible for learning dealing and conducting table game play while providing and maintaining an atmosphere of professionalism and integrity in Dealer School. The Table Games Dealer School Student does not perform the function of a Table Games Dealer nor work on the gaming floor in any capacity.

Dealer School Hours: Tuesday through Friday 9:30 AM‑2:30 PM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meeting Table Games Dealer School attendance requirements.
• Learning the applicable games offered in Dealer School that includes, but is not limited to, craps, blackjack & property offered carnival games, roulette, pai‑gow, and baccarat to successfully graduate school.
• Providing professional representation at internal and external meetings and events.
• Demonstrating abilities to meet performance expectations with Communications, Initiative/Problem Solving, Guest Service/Interpersonal Relations, Work Habits and Conduct, and Responsible Gaming/Business Ethics.
• Ensuring interactions with Team Members and School Instructors follow the guidelines of the customer service program.
• Adhering to all Corporate and local policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Must have High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service position preferred but not required.
• Must successfully complete dealer school.
• Must be able to successfully complete a Table Games audition displaying adequate Table Games dealing skills.
• Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers and collecting and paying out bets in Dealer School for training purposes.
• Must have the ability to display satisfactory dexterity for quick and accurate handling of training chips, training cards, and training cards.
• Must possess excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must successfully complete CPR training. Must promptly complete the necessary requirements for a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board Gaming license prior to graduating Dealer School.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Standing/Walking 85% of the time.
• Bending and lifting 15% of the time.
• Lifting/moving maximum of 25 lbs.
• This is a smoking environment in guest areas and a non‑smoking, with the exception of designated areas, employee environment.
