Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking a mechanical design engineer to support BIW closure systems for North American Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles.

You will design and release body closure components, create 3D data and drawings, and collaborate with global teams from concept through production. This role requires CAD experience, CATIA V5 proficiency, and 0–7 years BIW design, with travel up to 20% and opportunities for growth and professional development within a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automotive engineering or related field.
• 0–7 years of BIW design experience and CAD proficiency.
• Familiarity with CATIA V5 is preferred; in-house training provided.

Responsibilities

• Design and release body closure systems (doors, hoods, tailgates) for NA vehicles.
• Create/modify 3D data and 2D drawings using CATIA V5 and other tools.
• Support testing, validation, and production release activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the U.S., Korea, and suppliers.
• Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
