Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking an Localization Body Structures Engineer to join the Structures Engineering Design Department focused on upper and under-body systems across Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles.

You will design body structures with lightweight materials, collaborate across functions, and support EV platform development while traveling up to 20% globally.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in BIW design and development including automotive body structures.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and ability to create/modify 2D/3D drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop body structure components for new vehicles with lightweight materials.
• Analyze design requirements and develop solutions for EV platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate body structures with subsystems.
• Support supplier localization activities including visits and assessments.
• Support 2D and 3D drawing development and updates.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and design studios for vehicle development.
• Maintain engineering documentation: specs, test plans, validation reports.
• Study vehicle performance and test results (FMVSS, IIHS, NVH, etc.).
• Create and manage BOMs with updated weights at each stage.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and team members.
• Participate in benchmarking to study structural strategies of competitors.
• Communicate with North American affiliates and Korean HQ.
• Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
