UTC Ice Sports Center is a great place for a first-time job seeker looking for a place to build an exciting career. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an outgoing personality to work in a dynamic, fun, and energetic environment.

Our Party Hosts are responsible for day-of oversight of birthday parties. You will greet skaters, set up, clean up, supervise, entertain, and create memorable experiences for children and their families!

Minimum Qualifications:

• Energetic and enthusiastic personality – conversant with strangers, smiles, welcoming body language.
• Outgoing, friendly individuals who are willing to deliver superior customer service.
• Multitasking and time management skills.
• Takes and follows direction well, interested in learning.
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers of various ages, with the ability to handle guest inquiries and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Able to be both a team player and work independently with little supervision.
• Prior experience with party hosting, babysitting, child care, and/or leading games and activities with children is a plus though not required.
• Skating experience and interest in ice skating is encouraged but not required.
• Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, grasp, reach, push/pull, walk, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs on an intermittent basis during scheduled shifts.
• Must possess sound judgment, be patient, and love kids.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to the host family and all guests, periodically check in with the client throughout the entirety of their party reservation, interact with and entertain children during parties.
• Set up and clean up of party areas, maintain a clean and organized party environment.
• Coordinate and facilitate party activities and games, supervise and assist guests in transitions between party room and on ice activities, assist in lacing up skates.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all party guests.
• Manage and coordinate strict timelines while providing a positive professional attitude and entertaining guests with high level of energy and fun throughout the entire event, engaging both children and adults.
• In addition to the essential duties stated above, the ability to handle stress and interact effectively with others, including guests and coworkers, are essential functions of the job.
• Provide memorable moments for the birthday child and all of their guests.
• Have fun.

Expected hours: no more than 20 per week.

This position requires Saturday and Sunday shifts.

Starting at $17.25 plus tips.
