Job summary

Threshold Enterprises seeks a Child Development Specialist to support Birth to Three and Family Support services for children aged 0-3 in Wisconsin. The role coordinates IFSPs, plans, and connections to providers and community resources to meet developmental goals.

Responsibilities include facilitating IFSP meetings, identifying family needs and services, and documenting progress while ensuring compliance with program requirements and transitional planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Knowledge of or ability to understand 0-3 developmental delays or disabilities.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with families, service providers, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Birth to Three IFSP meetings.
• Assist families in identifying strengths, needs, goals, and services.
• Develop and coordinate IFSPs, including six-month and annual reviews.
• Coordinate evaluations, assessments, medical services, and other supports.
• Monitor children’s progress and the delivery of services.
• Connect families with service providers, advocacy resources, and community programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely case documentation.
• Assist families with transition planning as children prepare to exit the Birth to Three program.
• Collaborate with families, service providers, school districts, and community partners.
• Maintain compliance with Birth to Three, Part C, HFS 90, and program requirements.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development.
