Job summary

Bon Secours is hiring a Birth Registrar at St. Francis Medical Center to support obstetric and health information management functions.

You will process, abstract, and submit birth and death certificate data, prioritizing daily department operations for timely service. Responsibilities include completing state birth registry worksheets, assisting mothers, notarizing paternity affidavits, and entering data into the state registry.

Responsibilities

• Completes state birth registry worksheet by extracting data from the medical record as required for birth certificate and death registration completion
• Assists mother to complete state birth registry worksheet
• Completes and notarizes paternity affidavits per state requirements
• Compiles all worksheet information required and inputs all required information into the electronic birth/death registry into the state electronic vital statistics registry
• Other duties as assigned
