Job summary

MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center in Laguna Hills, CA is seeking a part-time Birth Certificate Clerk to accurately complete birth certificate processes and coordinate with caregivers, patients, families, physicians, and agencies. The role supports patient flow and communication within the care team.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service, data entry, and medical terminology familiarity, and may include bilingual skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Proficient in word processing and data entry, preferred.
• Proficient in medical terminology, preferred.
• Bilingual, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an accurate legally sound Birth Certificate for each patient to ensure regulatory compliance with State and Federal law.
• Effectively communicates with staff and management to ensure consistent workflow for our patients.
• Addresses the age specific competencies as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of various job specific competencies to support staff with clerical or administrative needs.
• Ability to be at work and be on time.
• Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and directives.
• Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
