Job summary

MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup hosts a Birth Center seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the hospital-based team. You will coordinate patient care using the nursing process within a multidisciplinary setting and support families throughout the birth journey.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, collaboration, and ongoing professional development. This position is part-time (0.6 FTE) with day shifts (0700–1930) and a focus on compassionate, patient‑centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing and RN license in Washington or multi-state endorsement.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• ACLS or NALS or PALS or TNCC or NRP certification, as required by facility or department.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis.
• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience and cost efficiency.
• Foster a learning environment for patients/families and staff.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care respecting diverse backgrounds.
