Job summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking a Registered Nurse (Float) to deliver direct professional nursing care in hospital and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation using evidence-based practice, with a focus on safe, therapeutic care for diverse patient populations.

The role requires current Minnesota RN licensure, at least two years of hospital experience, and ongoing certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP, STABLE, NVCI).

Qualifications

• Current RN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing in good standing
• Minimum 2 years RN hospital experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS enrolled in NH+C RQI program with 90-day requirements
• TNCC certification required or obtained within 6 months
• NRP and STABLE certification within 6 months
• NVCI training
• Workplace Violence education in New Employee Orientation
• Sedation certification within 6 months
• English proficiency for communication in healthcare

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and plan care based on nursing process
• Direct and delegate support personnel in patient care planning
• Perform nursing interventions including medications and IVs
• Document evaluations of patient responses and modify care as needed
• Provide patient and family education according to diagnosis and treatment plan
